ACCEPTED ARTWORK & DESIGN FILES
Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop files are preferred, as these applications are best suited for preparing professional artwork for large-format printing and vehicle graphics. Adobe InDesign files may be accepted but are generally not preferred for production artwork.
We can also review artwork created with modern design and AI-assisted platforms, including Canva, Adobe Firefly, Midjourney, ChatGPT, and other AI image-generation or design applications. However, AI-generated images and artwork are not automatically considered print-ready. Image resolution, dimensions, proportions, color, embedded text, fine details, artifacts, and overall image quality must be evaluated before production.
When submitting editable artwork, please include all necessary supporting files, including fonts, linked images, graphics, logos, and other assets used within the design. Whenever possible, fonts should be converted to outlines and linked images should be embedded or included with the submitted files.
Vector artwork is strongly preferred for logos, lettering, illustrations, and other graphics that need to remain sharp when enlarged. Raster artwork should be supplied at the highest available resolution and at dimensions appropriate for the final printed size.
Transparency, glows, shadows, blending modes, gradients, masks, and other advanced effects are generally acceptable. However, complex effects may render differently when processed for large-format printing. When necessary, these elements may be flattened or rasterized during production preparation to help ensure consistent output.
Artwork created for websites, social media, mobile devices, or AI image generators may look excellent on a screen but may not contain sufficient resolution or detail for large-format printing. WRAPJAX will review submitted artwork for production suitability.
If submitted files require correction, reconstruction, resizing, vectorization, resolution enhancement, color adjustment, preparation, or other modifications to meet production requirements, additional design or production time may be charged.
Acceptance of a file does not necessarily mean that the artwork is production-ready. Final suitability will be determined during our artwork and pre-production review.
COLOR – Specifications
All files are printed in CMYK format. Please send files with a CMYK build. Please provide a PDF layout or hard copy proof of the files being printed. If Pantone colors need to be matched please specify on the purchase order or hard copy proof. All critical Pantone colors need to be called out in the file as Coated or Uncoated swatches.
If color matching is required for Photoshop files please provide a layered file. Design time may be charged to correct flattened Photoshop files. Orders without indication of Pantone colors supplied proofs or requested hard copy proofs are NOT guaranteed for color.
RESOLUTION
All raster files (either print files or linked files) must be at 100-300 pixels per inch at 100%. 72 dpi is acceptable but results vary.
FONT SPECIFICATIONS
Fonts must be converted to outlines. If fonts are not created to outlines, please provide Macintosh or TrueType fonts. If changes need to be made in the file, please provide the fonts and a version of the file with editable type.
VINYL CUT GRAPHICS
All of the artwork must be set up as vector files with fonts created to outlines. No gradients are accepted for cut vinyl. Please assign Pantone colors for matching.
